Will the real Santas please stand up?

Today I asked Jack if he wanted to write a letter to Santa Claus so that he could let Santa know what he wanted for Christmas.

Jack's response: "Nah, I'll just write letters to Grandma Sue and Grandma Nini."

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

The boys experienced their first sledding expedition of the new season after we received about 5" of snowfall at the end of last week. David crafted 2 sled runs on the hill in our yard - one of which involved a 45-degree turn complete with sidewalls to keep them on track (nothing thrilling but enough that he had to also build up a snow barrier on the driveway to keep the kids from flying across the driveway and into the street).

For the bigger thrill, we took the boys to the Indian Trails pool - a hill large enough to give me heart palpitations watching Jack fly down by himself (They had hay bales roped to the forest of trees that waits for you at the end of the hill as a buffer between you and the trees.) Both Jack and Alex LOVED it (and so did David and I). Jack now calls the hill "rocket run."
