CHEEZ-ITS to the Rescue!

Yes, it HAS been a very long time since we've posted anything. So long that I forgot my blogger login, but after a few password tries, I'm in. I've been hearing the beginnings of grumblings about our lack of posts lately. I have no excuses really other than I'm tired. But that's nothing new, pregnant or not. We are about 4 weeks and counting until this family of four becomes a family of five.

Still no name yet - I think knowing that this is probably (I say definitely, but David says probably) our last child makes me want to draw everything out longer (well, except the actual being pregnant part). Jack and Alex are beginning to make a lot more comments about their sister's arrival. Jack is always saying things like "She's going to look so cute in her baby clothes" or "I'm going to protect her from bad guys."

Alex says things like "Whooaa, Mommy! Your belly IS getting BIGGER!"

Jack revealed to us the other night that he was strategizing all along while we transitioned him into his new room upstairs. When talking about how the baby would be waking us up at all times during the night, Jack said "NOT ME! I'm going to be WAY upstairs sound asleep in my cozy bed!" He made snoring noises to rub it in.

You're probably wondering at this point why I've titled this post about CHEEZ-ITS since I 've not made any connection to the cheesy little squares. A funny little story: The other day Jack, Alex and I were driving, and Jack and I were talking about getting lost and how it was a good idea for the boys to be able to tell someone their names, their parents' names and their phone number in case they were ever lost. Alex was sitting quietly, absorbing our conversation, until he piped in with: "OR, if I were lost in the store, I could go to the CHEEZ-ITS aisle and shake a box of CHEEZ-ITS, and THEN you would know where to find me!" Ah, smart boy -knowing how much Alex loves CHEEZ-ITS, I probably would think to check there....
