Blogging Under Coercion

So I'm being forced to finally update our blog with a new entry. I've been informed no blogging equals no seeing my nephews on their blog. Well, we can't have that.

You have to start blogging again now Jill.

I'll start with a cute story about Jack.
On Monday, as we were loading into the van after picking him from school, he pulls a little slip of paper out of his backpack, shows it to me and says, "Hey Mom. Maci gave me her number. See on one side is her address and on the other is her phone number." Now, I knew they have been practicing writing their phone number and address in school all year. So I thought maybe it was part of their classwork - to write their number and exchange it with a classmate. I asked him this, and he shrugged and said, "Nope - she just gave it to me and told me to call her sometime." Awwwww. He got his first phone number from a girl. In Kindergarten. To make it even cuter, Maci had written too many numbers for it to be an actual phone number - but it was close, so we know she was really trying. David and I are going to hang on to it, just in case Maci and Jack end up dating somewhere down the road (way, way down the road - like when they're thirty...)

Kate and Alex are enjoying the start of summer and can't wait for big brother Jack to be done with school so they have another playmate at home all day.

Alex had his last day of preschool on Tuesday. They celebrated with a field day. David and I were parent volunteers and helped the kids with the ice cream relay.

Thanks for sacrificing a little sleep time, Leslie!!

Kate looks like she's growing much too quickly! Tell her to hold up until we get back in a couple of weeks!

Jack and Alex, I'm looking forward to hearing about your field day experiences! Since you two are such lean, mean sports machines, I'm sure you had a lot of fun!

X X X (Hugs for all 3!)
